Black Tuber

Etienne Bailleul is a French sculptor and designer. As a self-taught woodcarver he freely explore the wood material through organic forms and creates delicate sculptural pieces with subtle functions. Just as his works sits between art and design, they also play with notions of fragility, balance and connection. He only uses locally sourced wood and work mostly with hand tools, patiently carving thin wood pieces with highly detailed and textured surfaces.
