This new FROM THE ASHES glass discovers infinite supply chains by using waste which has no value so far: Ashes from wood-fired pizzerias and sea shells from seafood restaurants. These renewable raw materials are available in large quantities in many cities and have so far been thrown away. Processing is simple and requires little energy and the resources are renewable and local raw materials throughout. Only the third ingredient quartz sand cannot be replaced, but thanks to the natural ingredients, this glass can also be ground back into sand and returned to nature, which, in addition to the normal glass cycle, also closes a larger material cycle.
