The inspiration for this collection comes from the classical turned leg, found under many wooden tables. By deconstructing the table and only using the legs, a collection of stools, side tables and pedestals is formed.
The name of the collection refers to the lathe, a machine tool that rotates a piece of wood about an axis to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding and turning, to create an object with symmetry. For ÆTHER/MASS, collaboration multiplies what is possible by getting access to the skills that have been mastered by others. For the making of this object, we worked closely together with CasimirAteliers, master woodworkers specialised in high-end solid wooden furniture.
