The gentle burning of the surface brings out the natural grain of the wood and gives it a distinctive, smoky patina. The charring reveals a rich palette of warm brown, deep taupe and subtle anthracite tones. The fine, linear grain of the Mahogany is enhanced, creating depth, movement and a refined variation across every individual plank. No two boards are ever the same. Natural variations in colour, grain and the intensity of the charring give the floor its unique character — powerful yet understated, warm yet sophisticated. A floor shaped by fire, refined by craftsmanship.

This particular floor is a conical form, with a subtle taper that gradually narrows towards one end. This refined geometry creates a sense of movement and elegance, while giving the floor a distinctive, handcrafted character. The floor is also available in straight plank format.

Cornilly is rooted in traditional craftsmanship and driven by a passion for exceptional wood, Cornilly produces floors entirely tailored to each project. From the selection of the timber to the dimensions, proportions, surface treatment and final finish, every detail is carefully considered and crafted in our atelier. They carefully selected woods and embrace their natural character, from subtle grain patterns to distinctive colours, textures and imperfections. Rather than standardising the material, we allow each piece of wood to become part of the identity of the floor.

Cornilly's floors are made for architects, interior designers and private clients looking for something truly distinctive. Wide and exceptionally long planks, unconventional formats, bespoke profiles and unique finishes are all part of our approach. Cornilly is a place to discover for those searching for something truly distinctive — a discreet atelier where craftsmanship, material and design come together to create floors with their own identity. Because we believe a wooden floor should be more than a surface. It should contribute to the atmosphere and character of an interior, age beautifully and remain relevant for generations.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0601/6928/9981/files/M9A7227_f9da2986-74e7-4465-b295-69c0b0037b91.jpg?v=1791887633
