The Frost Mirror project is an illustration of ice and glass phenomena, through a unique frosty pattern, and the assembly of different sheets of glass cut in a particular way, imitating crystal glass. For this project, I’m taking the glass material out of the usual context: laminated glass is generally used in architecture, for security, yet here turning it into a collectible design piece. We discover here different facets of glass, transparent, translucent, opaque, reflective.
About the artist
Franco-Russian designer and artist working in Paris. After several years of experience in architecture, she changed the scale of her projects to produce objects. Her work explores various processes of production in a poetic way, revealing their uniqueness, and developing the potential of surrounding materials by pushing their limits - which changes our preconceptions about them and our surrounding environment.
