Shipping policy
The shipping policy covers matters such as delivery, damage during transport, and other related issues. We will respond to your inquiries as promptly as possible.Please note that we reserve the right to modify the current shipping policy at any time without prior notice. Unless otherwise stated, Estonian law shall apply to all legal matters related to shipping and delivery.
DELIVERY
Before placing an order, it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure they can receive the ordered products. This includes verifying that the products will fit through doorways, stairs, hallways, or other spaces, and that no other factors will complicate or prevent delivery. Shipments will be handled by the company or manufacturer unless otherwise specified by the buyer.
Delivery times will be arranged once the goods are ready for dispatch. Full payment is required before the order is released from the vendor. The buyer must provide written details of any access difficulties (such as stairs, delivery docks, or elevators) prior to delivery. Additional charges may apply for undisclosed access requirements.
The shipping provider will deliver the design piece(s) to the address provided at checkout within the lead time specified on the product page. The buyer is responsible for ensuring the delivery address is correct. Damages must be noted upon receipt. The shipping provider covers one delivery at ground level during normal weekday delivery hours.
Any items returned due to the buyer's delay or failure to accept delivery will incur additional costs, including storage fees, which the buyer is responsible for. Damages must be reported within 48 hours. If the buyer selects their own freight carrier, claims must be filed directly with the carrier. The company is not liable for damages or claims related to the buyer's chosen freight carrier or third-party damage.
PIECES DAMAGED DURING SHIPMENT
The buyer must inspect the design piece upon delivery. All items are insured during shipment, and any damage occurring during transit will not be at the buyer's expense. If damage results from faulty production or insufficient packaging, the designer will cover return and repair costs. In the case of damage occurring despite adequate packaging, insurance will cover the return and repair expenses.
The buyer is required to contact OWN within 48 hours of delivery by emailing info@objectswithnarratives.com. The email should include the order number, contact details, date of delivery, a description of the damage, the name of the design piece, photos of the damage, and the condition of the packaging (both inner and outer). Additionally, the buyer must keep all documentation and packaging in its original condition for insurance purposes. Failing to do so may result in a denied claim. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure all items are in their original condition within 48 hours of delivery.
The buyer has the immediate right to request a repair or replacement piece. A full refund of the purchase price for a damaged item will only be issued after the insurance claim has been approved.
SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are paid by the buyer and will be charged in addition to the price of the piece and is displayed in the total bill. All shipping quotes provided are for front door delivery only. If installation or white glove delivery services are required, the buyer must communicate this request in advance. Additional charges may apply for these services.
LEAD TIMES
We provide an estimated lead time on our product pages. Please not that these are subject to change. During times of high demand and or holidays, delivery times may increase, in which case we will inform you upon confirmation of your order. Transit times itself are beyond our control.
