At OWN we want our customers to know their rights, feel secure to use our services, and understand our commitments. The Legal Notice Policy outlines topics as liability, content and intellectual property. Be aware that we can make changes to the present Legal Notice Policy without notice. It is, therefore, a good idea to review this policy when you find it suitable. Concerning legal matters, Estonian law is applicable, if otherwise is not stated.
PRODUCT LIABILITY
Designers offering works for sale on the Objects With Narratives ("OWN") gallery shall remain solely and fully liable for the design pieces they list. This includes, without limitation, responsibility for the accuracy, authenticity, and completeness of all information and visual content provided in relation to each piece, such as dimensions, materials, descriptions, and images. OWN acts as an intermediary platform and makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information presented is accurate; however, OWN does not warrant or guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the content provided by designers.
CONTENT
It is prohibited to distribute virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb, or other harmful material through OWN. OWN, designers, curators, partners, and advertisers are not liable for any damages occurring from the use of the website or OWN's services (including but without limitation to any direct and indirect damages, or loss of profits or data). OWN is responsible for the technical development and maintenance of the OWN Design Platform. Technical errors may occur, and in the case that it affects the decision to purchase a design piece, OWN holds the responsibility to fix it. The website www.objectswithnarratives.com, or parts of it, might be unavailable at any time or for any period.
Anyone can register a user account at OWN with an email address. It is free of charge and does not carry an obligation to purchase any design piece. Users are asked to provide personal information, that should be truthful. It is not permitted to use contact details that are fake or not in use, such as email address, name, and/ or photo. OWN reserves the right to cancel member accounts or delete content. Designers, curators, and users may not upload any content that violates our policy, any laws, or ethical standards; including but not limited to copyrighted, violent, pornographic, offensive, aggressive, racist, or sexist content. Users can delete their account at any time by clicking “delete” under settings. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property rights in and to the Objects With Narratives (“OWN”) Platform and its content are and shall remain the exclusive property of OWN. This includes, without limitation, rights in copyright, design, trademarks, photographs, text, computer software, marketing concepts, and any other original content or creation associated with the OWN Platform, except where such rights are explicitly held by third parties, such as photographs provided and owned by designers.
Reproduction, republication, resale, rental, duplication, or copying of any material published on the OWN Platform is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from OWN. Notwithstanding the foregoing, users are permitted to redistribute content from the OWN Platform provided that clear attribution is given to OWN, either by mention or by inclusion of a hyperlink or URL directing to the original content. OWN accepts no responsibility or liability for any content appearing on third-party websites or platforms where OWN content is shared.
Users, including designers and curators, are strictly prohibited from using the OWN Platform as a promotional channel for alternative sales platforms or distribution channels, including but not limited to external e-commerce websites, online marketplaces, or physical retail locations offering the same or similar design pieces. Furthermore, users must not engage in the dissemination of spam or participate in or promote chain letters, pyramid schemes, or similar unsolicited marketing practices. Users may download, save, or print materials from the OWN Platform strictly for personal and non-commercial use.
