The (Im-)Perfectionists

PAD London 2024

"The (Im-)Perfectionists," is an exhibition showcasing the work of six exceptional artists represented by our gallery. The show builds upon the success of last year’s “(Un-)Controlled”, which celebrated the harmonious balance between meticulous control and moments of sheer unpredictability through the work of Vladimir Slavov and Mircea Anghel. The curation for PAD London 2024 expands upon these themes with the addition of four more visionary creators: Maison Jonckers, Ben Storms, Lukas Cober and KRJST.

Here we delve into the nuanced dialogue between craftsmanship and the artful embrace of imperfection. Each featured artist embodies the pinnacle of artisanal excellence while simultaneously celebrating the beauty found in intentional flaws. Their creations, whether in terms of tactile surfaces, material choices or techniques, explores the tension between precision and spontaneity. The quest to reach a balance between the two, (un-)planned nuances and details becomes an integral part of the masterpiece. Through their craft, these artists prove that the most compelling moments in art often arise from the convergence of controlled mastery and the beauty of the unforeseen.
