BB floor lamp

The idea of the bb collection came from tectonic experiments in material and form, where equal parts constitute a whole. A simple wheel, cast in aluminium, is divided, repeated, and assembled in a poetic manner to make different functional objects that are aesthetically striking.

The floor lamp is composed of a cast shell encasing a textured cast glass shade diffuser and a cross shape pedestal. The metal is finished with restraint; highlighting the roughness of making by leaving traces of process apparent, whereas the textured glass is sand blasted and polished to give a delicate diffusion of refracted light.
