Designed by Ben Storms
Ben Storm’s designs engage, influence, and challenge each other in a continuous interaction. In this instance, diverging paths converge to create a sculptural In Hale Wall piece that merges the unseen strength of steel with the enduring beauty of natural stone.
Here, the steel remains hidden—its presence not visual but structural, a silent force beneath the surface. Upon it, stone mosaics are painstakingly composed, their crystalline textures and mineral hues evoking a raw, timeless elegance. The form appears shaped by sudden pressure, marked by capricious folds and deliberate dents—gestures frozen in time.
There is contrast, yet harmony: the metallic core—cool, industrial, precise—supports the organic complexity of stone, itself born of sediment and time. What is visible is the permanence of nature, what is hidden is the force that holds it all together. The result is an object of quiet tension, where apparent stillness holds within it the memory of motion, impact, and transformation.
