About the artist
After a beginning as a furnitures restorer in Italy, and more than seven years of experience in metalworking as Valentin Loellmann’s assistant, Christian specialised in merging the fluidity and elegance of materials like steel and brass. His journey began in the serene north of Italy, where he cultivated a deep respect for natural elements. Now residing in the Netherlands, he applies advanced techniques to transform metal into refined art pieces.
Christian employs methods such as patination and meticulous polishing to reveal the metal’s inherent beauty and achieve a striking, oiled finish. His work transcends mere functionality, blending durability with artistic expression. Each piece is a testament to the metal's everlasting nature, crafted to endure and captivate through time.
By merging traditional craftsmanship with modern artistry, he creates pieces that not only serve as functional objects but also stand as enduring works of art. Christian’s goal is to push the boundaries of what metal can be, showcasing its potential to convey both strength and softness in every creation.
