Son of an artist mother and a designer father, Manu grew up in a creative and experimental environment, sparking an interest in materials, artisanal techniques, and the nature of objects from an early age.

Born in Valencia, Spain, in 1990, he studied Design Engineering at UCH CEU University in Valencia and completed a master's degree in Furniture and Lighting in 2012. After his academic journey, Manu joined Magnus Long Studio in London, contributing to projects for Central Saint Martins University. In 2013, he embarked on a creative journey to Mexico City, where he currently resides and passionately continues his endeavors.
His work has stood out in prestigious design fairs such as Design Miami/Basel, Salone Satellite in Milan, Maison&Objet in Paris, Brafa in Brussels, DNA Art Fair in China, and Zona Maco in Mexico. Manu's contributions to the field have earned him recognitions, including the Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year Award, the A Design Award, and the IF Design Award.
In 2016, Manu Bañó, alongside Héctor Esrawe and Age Salajoe, co-founded EWE Studio. As the design director, Manu plays a crucial role in the ongoing global expansion of the renowned firm in the collectible design world.

Manu is internationally acclaimed for his minimalist approach primarily focused on metalwork. His designs, especially in copper, brass, and steel, demonstrate a profound respect for the integrity of the material.
His work not only embodies functionality but also serves as a testament to the beauty of artisanal processes, blending tradition with contemporary design.
