Designed by Jan Ernst
The side table was inspired by the organic shapes of the mushrooms found in the Newlands Forest in CapeTown. Walking through the forest you become aware of the various types of fungi and their complexities.
The aim of the design is to expres these awkward volumes and the layering often seen as the fungi grow on tree trunks and in between pine needles.
Material: The side table has a ceramic base with a coiled ceramic top. It is layered with a higher grey glass top.
