An in-depth exploration of technique, design and skill. Tanguy started this piece with a vision around design and energy but allowed himself to let it all change along the way. Feeling the piece and letting the piece obtain itself. This process is of course quite challenging as you have to keep pushing yourself as an artist and have to keep pushing through every obstacle yourself. The piece began as an analogy to the shapes and textures of the Tondel fungi he was already working around and wanted to create this large-scale in wood.
The end result: a beautiful and technically powerful object that can be used as a cabinet to and is a harmonic interplay between pure handcrafted materials. Handmade by @ttourain in sculpted wood, cast brass and cast amber colored glass
