Designed by Jojo Corväiá
This piece from the Berber series reinterprets traditional rain catchers, drawing inspiration from Berber culture. With narrow necks leading to expansive openings, this sculpture features inter- connected cavities and complex structures, presenting a modern, intricate take on the utilitarian forms that inspired it. Corväiá’s signature dark glaze enhances the piece, adding a sense of depth and intensity to its sculptural presence.
Its form goes beyond functionality, emphasizing the artist’s skill in creating complex, interconnected shapes that serve as a testament to his unique aesthetic. The piece combines structural sophistica- tion with a robust, organic appeal, capturing the spirit of the Berber tradition while showcasing Corväiá’s distinctive style.
