Ernesto's approach often begins with material-its history, its limitations, and its possibilities. Early on, I was drawn to discarded objects and industrial remnants, reshaping them into illuminated pieces and functional forms.
That dialogue with material remains central: it is through working with wood, metal, and other mediums that I discover shapes that hold memory, embody experience, and evoke emotion. The results are objects that stand at the intersection of functionality and expression-pieces that are both familiar and unexpected, intimate yet enduring. Each work is a witness of time and process, carrying the rigor of craft while leaving space for reflection and interpretation.
