Most by coincidence, trying to solve a limitation. I wanted to manually shape and bend metal without any machinery interference.
It's overlapping meticulously and patiently thin plates of brass that I've been able to reach and shape these pieces, prioritising space and forms over functionality. Layer after layer, merging 1mm metal plates in strong but gently shaped bodies.
The delicate surfaces and finishings are an invitation to be used, touched, experienced, in order to develop an organic natural patina, living traces of past and present, telling the stories of their owners.
