Emergence

There is a moment in nature that is almost invisible 
when a bud begins to press outward from a branch,
not yet open, not yet known, but already becoming.

The bud holds that moment in suspension.

Crafted from stoneware and porcelain,
the work moves like a living line 
three vines drawn downward through space,
carrying thirteen quiet bodies of light.

Each bud glows as if lit from within,
as though life itself were gathering behind the surface,
waiting for release.

At 2.4 meters in length,
the piece is both fragile and weight-bearing,
a structure that had to be negotiated slowly 
months of testing balance, gravity, and heat,
until material and intention could exist together.

It is a chandelier,
but also a gesture of emergence 
a record of pressure, patience, and becoming.

A first of its kind.
A beginning.
