The Oracle, explores the relationship between the viewer and their environment through a simple yet powerful design. Beginning with the concept of the curve, three abstract planes are bent along this trajectory, intersecting to form a structural, dynamic entity. This evolution from a two-dimensional line into a three-dimensional object creates intricate, fluid curves that highlight the simplicity of the narrative. The piece is a concave shell of thermoformed glass, silvered behind to give it a reflective, mirror-like surface.
Inspired by Anish Kapoor’s introspective reflective discs, Oracle invites the viewer to engage with their surroundings, reflecting not only the room but their own perception. Just as the ancient Oracle of Delphi spoke in riddles, Oracle changes with its space, its reflective surface shifting in response to movement and light, symbolizing the constant flow of time, change, and introspection.
