Upholstery option pashima/viscose hand knotted Shag from Nepal.

Alpaca fur process
The skins are collected by their owners (ranchers) from animals that died naturally. The alpacas live between 3000 to 5500 meters above sea level. Places where there is no agriculture or pastures. The mortality rate of the alpaca is approximately 18%. Only the animals that die naturally are the ones whose skin can be commercialized. In peru there is a state agency called SENASA which monitors and controls this action of buying and selling skins of animals that have died naturally.
